Things getting a little messy.
More mess.... I had really crossed the rubicon at this point.
Dryfit of the tank top.
Some core samples from the mast bulkhead. I had to cut these holes for the water tank fill & vent fittings.
Creating the return flange at the back of the tank.
Return flange made on the forward side. I didn't bring enough taping for the other side this day.
All the tank surfaces are glassed in now. A mix of 1708 and 10oz chop were used as I ran out of 1708 doing this job.
A closeup on the tank fill & vent holes. I potted the fittings the night before to create the threads & seal the holes.
Some of the uglier corners before fibreglass.
After 1 coat of brewcoat. This is the thickest paint I have ever dealt with. It levels out suprisingly well though. I went through almost half a gallon on 2 coats for this tank.
After 2 coats.
This is the hanging locker side of the tank
The top of the tank set next to the rest of it for the night to fully cure.
