31st of August
Sunny day with lots of traffic, though no visits other than some surprise apples left in my car, I assume from one of my followers from across the street. Probably Melissa who walks her dog past most days. The traffic is to do with the holiday weekend.
I got the following done:
2 coats of Brewcoat on the water tank. This is a 2 part epoxy paint used on brewing tanks and wine storage tanks. Having gone through about half a gallon on my small tank, i’m willing to say this is the thickest paint I have ever dealt with, although it levels out fairly well if left alone and not worked too hard. I had to wait about 2 hours between coats in 80 degree heat. A mechanical mixer is the only way with this stuff, it is very thick.
Hanging locker door installed, access panel cut in the bottom, and lower shelf built & dry fit.
Settee footrest bonded in with polyester resin, thickened with cabosil.
Cleared out the template & offcut waste I’d been tossing under the cradle for the past weeks
Backfilled deck & installed anchor hawspipe fitting aswell as the speedo & depth gauges
