I didn’t get to the boat today thanks to a splinter in my right eye. I took last night to sleep it off, hoping it would be better in the morning, it wasn’t. After the doctor removed the spec with a cotton swab they noted a rust ring, suggesting it was a piece of metal. Not sure when I would’ve created an opportunity to get a metal splinter in my eye yesterday. The last time I cut metal was about a week ago, cutting galvanized pipe fittings for my exhaust system.

The next eye doctor used something that looked like a dental pick to get the rest out. I felt nothing, the doctor was very knowledgeable and nice. I have a small scratch in my cornea. Some ointment applied three times a day for three days should get me in fighting shape again for Monday.
